The route of the Akratos Wine refers to the water element of Aristotelian Philosophy.
Our excursion will start at Halkidiki vineyards where:
- We are participating in agricultural activities.
- We will have a wine tasting experience in a stunning location overlooking the whole of Akanthios Gulf and Mount Athos, on the Throne of Xerxes. We will taste some excellent quality local wines paired with local delicacies.
- We are visiting the winery and learning more about wine and local spirit “tsipouro” distillation, the cellar and the wine barrels.
- We will have the opportunity to get informed about Akantios wine, a traditional product with history from the 7th century.
Daily program
- 9:00 Departure.
- 9:15 Arrival in Domaine Agrovision vineyards. Tour in vineyards and participation in agricultural activities such as cutting grape leaves for better carpi aeration, cutting the top of the plants. Learning more about Akantios wine.
- 10:45 Wine tasting at Xerxe’s Throne, 7 labels of fine local wine combined with finger food (local products). Astonishing view of Akanthios gulf and. Ammouliani island.
- 12:45 Arrival at Domaine Agrovision winery. Learn more about wine distillation, visit the wine cellar and learn more about the distillation of the local spirit Tsipouro.
- 13.45 Departure from winery.
- 14:00 Arrival in Eagles Palace.
